Broken Dreams? Not yet!

August 14, 2007

As usual, I was late again in my class yesterday. Gosh! It took me 1.5 hours to travel from Makati to UP Diliman to my college, NCPAG!

Anyway, as I was walking and rushing to my class, something popped up on my mind. Why am I there? Why am I taking my master’s degree? Why this already? Why MPA? All these things keep on coming into my mind while my heart was beating fast as I ran to attend my class.

Good thing, when I arrived in my class, our professor didn’t ask me to sing – this is her punishment to the students who come late in her class. After pretending that I was listening to my professor…our class on 299 ended… Hehe..

Then, me and MPA friends- Bon Q. and Corrine went to our usual tambayan in KNL after class to have dinner – it’s either have isaw and drink a bottle of beer in Sarah’s or have a healthy meal in Likha Diwa (a vegetarian resto). And last night, we went to Likha Diwa and I ate a healthful vegetarian spaghetti and nachos. But I sneaked out to eat my favorite isaw outside.

When we were having dinner, I told my friends that I’m getting so damned bored now with what’s going on to my MPA life. And then, I asked them – what was my reason why I enrolled in MPA and took the program? I answered my own question, that before, I really planned to run and become a candidate in the local election in our humble town in the province to serve my kababayans. But now, since I realized that being a candidate even in a local election in our country really needs a lot of money – which I don’t have at the moment.

I don’t know if I can consider it as a broken dream. But I think, with my plans in the future, when the time comes that I will have enough resources to run in the elections, I can pursue my dreams to serve my fellow kababayans in Quezon.
