The unexpected day

Today is August 12. It was 365 days ago when I first met the person who will be with me for the rest of my life.
It was around 930 am of August 12, 2006 when my phone rang. It was an unknow number. I'm sure it's from abroad. So, I said hello and it was my Tita Thera. She told me that I should apply for a student apply for student visa and she is willing to support my studies there in the US. And i said, YES! Then, she suddenly passed the phone to somebody. The reason wasn't clear to me so, I thought, her cellphone was ringing and someone's calling her. So, I talked to this stranger.
We talked for almost an hour -talking about what we do in our lives and future plans. And then after a long conversation, he asked for my email address and so I gave it to him since I know he's my aunt's friend anyway.
August 12, 2006 was the day when I met Mr. Carl Veneracion, my soon-to-be-husband. This was the unexpected day that I met and received a God's gift… truly an answered prayer…
